Challenge

This requires adapting its infrastructure into a an organisational model whereby operations, development and management are streamlined towards Bimodal IT, while meeting very high demands for uptime and stability.

Västra Götalandsregionen employs 55,000 staff and is responsible for Healthcare, Culture, Public Transport, Growth and Sustainable Development in Västra Götaland.
Solution
Swedwise helps create processes to support organisational change: adapting infrastructure to a Bimodal IT approach, which accommodates both a rapidly changing agile part and more traditional legacy system integration at the same time.
Result
The project is ongoing, but so far has been successful and led to productivity gains. VGR renewed its integration strategy and made architectural changes within the platform that will realise integration needs within the Future Health Information Environment (FVM). In addition to technological changes, such as the introduction of an API platform, Bimodal IT and a “Center for enablement” (C4E) has been built to better equip the organisation for API-led integration.
