SWEDWISE CONTINUES THE FIGHT AGAINST CHILD CANCER IN 2018
As part of our social responsibility program, Swedwise is proud to continue the support for “Team Rynkeby – Godmorgon Värmland” in 2018.
Team Rynkeby is a Nordic charity cycling team. Every summer they cycle from Sweden to Paris to raise money for seriously ill children. Team Rynkeby donate their profits to the children’s cancer unit at Odense University Hospital and Barncancerfonden.
Team Rynkeby will cycle to Paris in July 2018, and Swedwise are once again joining the campaign to fight childhood cancer.
1,900 CYCLISTS IN SIX COUNTRIES
Today’s Team Rynkeby comprises 1,900 cyclists and 450 volunteers, divided into 48 local teams in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, the Faroe Islands and Iceland. Team members are selected from thousands of applicants, who have completed the application form on the Team Rynkeby website.
ALL FUNDS RAISED GO DIRECTLY TO CHILDREN WITH CRITICAL ILLNESSES
In 2017 Team Rynkeby donated EUR 8.8 million to organizations that help children with critical illnesses.
For almost a whole year participants must not only prepare themselves for the 1,200 kilometre trip to Paris but they are also obliged to do what they can to raise money for children with critical illnesses.
Rynkeby Foods A/S and God Morgon cover all the project’s primary costs, which means that the money Team Rynkeby raises in each country is donated directly to local organisations that help children with critical illnesses.
