VSV Reduces admin costs with Swedwise
Lower costs and simplified handling with less errors. This was the result when VSV Frakt turned to Swedwise to streamline and facilitate the administration of the company’s handling of fuel purchases. The solution is a system where administration is handled electronically and automatically.
VSV Frakt is a logistics company within Forestry, which consists of about 200 small and large businesses with 600 employees. Since VSV’s business is transport intensive, a streamlined administration process is essential in order to stay on top of fuel consumption.
Swedwise created a system to digitally handle VSV’s fuel bills. Fuel suppliers now send an electronic invoice to VSV Shipping, while other paper documents from other vendors are scanned into the system for e-authorization. The system also automatically detects any discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
”Because VSV Frakt generate so many fuel bills, they can recoup their investment in a new data capture system in just a few months. At the same time they can devote more of their resources on their core business rather than on administration”, said Roger Wall, Sales Director Swedwise.
This is not the first time that VSV Shipping has turned to Swedwise. The companies have worked together before to streamline the management of the 300,000 transportation bills and receipts that VSV Shipping produce each year. Previously, these documents were handled manually, an approach that employed five people. Working closely with Swedwise to create a tailor-made solution, VSV eliminated virtually all cost miscalculations that were due to human error. At the same time, VSV staff now devotes more of their time to their core business instead of admin tasks.
