Team Manager, Consulting

At Swedwise, our consultants are at the heart of everything we do. We’re now looking for a Consulting Team Manager who can combine hands-on, supportive leadership with commercial awareness to develop both our people and our consulting business.

About the role

As a Consulting Team Manager, you’ll have direct responsibility for a team of consultants, creating the right conditions for them to thrive, develop their skills and succeed in their assignments.

You’ll work closely with our Chief Services Officer, other team managers and account managers.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop the consultants in your team
• Proactively manage consultant utilisation, staffing and resource planning
• Ensure the team has the right skills today while identifying future skills and recruitment needs
• Monitor and support consultants’ development and performance in customer assignments
• Foster a positive working environment, high engagement and strong employee retention
• Act as a role model for our culture and contribute to the continued development of our consulting business

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with experience in leading and developing people, who understands the consulting industry and what makes a successful consulting business.

You’re a supportive, approachable leader who is also confident in setting clear expectations and handling challenging situations. You’re proactive and commercially minded, with a strong understanding of the relationship between people, skills, customer needs and consultant utilisation.

Previous experience as a consultant or consulting manager would be an advantage, as would experience in IT or technology, recruitment, skills planning and customer relationship management.
